The end of Orgatec | Saturday 30th October
The last five days have been an experience for all concerned. A whirlwind of clients, dealers and drop by visitors has kept everyone busy, and now, as the fair begins to wind down, Members will gradually make their way home, enjoy the long weekend and get ready to get back to their normal work on Tuesday. Members of the Orgatec team will, of course, still be around for a while as the booth is taken back down.
We have to remember that Orgatec is the culmination of months of work for many Haworth Members, and we can all be proud of the achievement in terms of the message we have given, the acceptance of our Organic Workspace approach, the appearance and feeling of our booth and the function and reception of our many new product lines. Even our competitors admitted that our booth was one of the best (source wished to remain anonymous).
It has been a long road, and Orgatec 2010 has helped to position us to drive forward the business for a strong, successful 2011.
Thanks to everyone!

STOP PRESS
Haworth’s LIM light has won yet another award! A jury of architects and designers awarded the LED desk lamp with the “Innovationspreis Architektur und Office XXL 2010” award. LIM has already gathered a host of awards, including best of NeoCon, the red dot design award and iF product design award.
This latest honour will gain Haworth exposure in AIT, one of the most influential architectural magazines in Germany and also online.

That Friday Feeling | Friday 29th October
As we near the end of Orgatec, we can already look back on the successes we have enjoyed. Michael Kaiser, Sales Director Germany, gave a short speech at the booth kick off that thanked members for their hard work, mentioning the reception staff, the back office and the catering teams. He was also pleased with the welcome that our important clients received yesterday.
With the steady stream of visitors coming to the booth, these contributors have been pulling out all the stops to ensure a warm welcome from the moment they arrive until they walk out with a smile on their faces.
Today is the last day of the Cologne tours. Haworth Members can invite visitors to join them on a three hour tour of the city, to experience more than just the Orgatec fair. Tours are available in both English and German, and yesterday the Portuguese team gave excellent feedback.

Haworth at half time | Thursday 28th October
Today we are half way through the fair with no sign of slowing down. This morning Jose Amaral, VP European Operations & General Manager, opened the booth saying that he is proud of what we have achieved with the space and with the new products and that we can be proud of ourselves and of Haworth.
Shortly after the opening speech Dick Haworth presented certificates to two UK Members, Paul Ellis, Global Account Manager, and Jackie Bergonzi, UK Marketing, for their 20 years of service to the company. See picture.
Today promises to be busy, with a strong contingent from Spain, and also important German clients already booked in to visit. We can be sure that they will be as impressed as our previous visitors with how well the stand fits together and how readily they can see the distinct environments of the Organic Workspace.

Organic DanceSpace | Wednesday 27th October
The second day of Orgatec opened with a speech from the Chairman Emeritus, Dick Haworth, himself. He spoke about his impressions of the stand and advised members to continue having fun – by doing what they enjoy in a space they like and bringing that excitement to the dealers and clients who visit.
The booth was crowded again, like Monday, with visitors enjoying coffee from the professional barista in the Heart. Just walking through the booth it becomes evident how international the crowd is: our Russian dealer, a Japanese press representative, colleagues from Haworth Asia and the last day for our US members. The global teams took the chance to grab a meeting room on the booth to catch up with one another and exchange ideas.
The largest group today was the French team, with about 70 dealers, clients and members from Haworth France. They enjoyed a presentation for the launch of the Organic Workspace and then a tour of the stand where French designers presented their products: Emmanuel Dietrich for Epure, and Catherine le Téo and Thierry Blet for LTB.
In the evening was the much anticipated booth party, with live music and drinks until late. The singer and saxophonist gave a fantastic performance, tempting many members and visitors to dance, turning the booth into a disco.

Orgatec Begins | Tuesday 26th October
Orgatec is open to the public, and they are streaming into the Haworth booth in eager anticipation. Visible amongst the visitors are Dick Haworth and Matthew Haworth, Haworth’s Chairman Emeritus and current Chairman, and family owners of the business.
Franco Bianchi, Haworth President & CEO, opened proceedings with a motivational speech, urging Members to remember that the Haworth family is part of what makes our company special.
The Press has already been active on the booth taking photos of the MeetYou shelter, designed by Michael Schmidt and the LTB lounge chairs, from Le Téo and Blet. As Tuesday is designer day, visitors can benefit from direct conversations with these designers, as well as Andreas Struppler (Kiron desk system) and Simon Desanta (Very and System 59).
At 17.00 this afternoon, the booth will honour these designers during the Koelsch happy hour. Join us if you can!
